Golden Meadows Kennel LLC is a boutique Golden Retriever breeder and trainer that has produced some of Hollywood’s finest canine personalities. Through a caring and comprehensive training program, each of their dogs is raised to be a well-adjusted companion.

Between your neighborhood pet store, rescue kennels and the variety of unqualified people giving away their litters, there is no shortage of avenues to attain a dog. However, this carries with it an inevitable plethora of both physical and behavioral problems in return. If you’re looking for the perfect dog that will be full of great memories from day one, the folks at the Golden Meadows Kennel know exactly what it takes to raise a top quality dog and prep them for a lifetime of unparalleled companionship.

These are not your average muts. Golden Meadows Kennel LLC in Central Ventura County, CA handpicks the shining stars of the litter based on their sweet temperaments, looks and other promising indicators. They have been breeding the finest Golden Retrievers from excellent pedigrees and champion lines for 17 years and their accolades are proof of their success.

When Hollywood movies and actors need the finest canines for star roles or companionship, Golden Meadows Kennel is first on the list. They have been working intimately with Working Wildlife for 15 years to supply many gorgeous dogs for big screen and commercial roles.

“Whenever the movie industry calls Working Wildlife for a pup we are the first phone call they make because they know our pups are healthy and confident and that we have started their training and socialization to prepare them for their future.”

Golden Meadow’s special pups have been featured on the Today Show, Good Morning America, in the Hollywood Parade, Purina Puppy Chow commercials, Air Bud the movie, calendars, magazines and too many other spots to name. In addition to their star roles, they are also responsible for placing dogs in many celebrity households. Though they maintain that their client’s privacy is of absolute importance, they are no stranger to Hollywood faces walking through their doors in search of a world-class puppy.

What makes Golden Meadows’ Retrievers so special is in their upbringing and the way they are cared for. Starting at six weeks old, all of the puppies are professionally trained and socialized to become the ideal companion. By the time they are finished with their training program, the pups are turned over to their owners:

-Crate and potty trained.
-Trained to walk on a leash, sit, stay, high-five and to fetch and drop all at the call of a whistle or a snap.
-Trained to know basic rights from wrongs; not to jump on people, not to bite hands, not to dig, not to bark, not to chew on anything but their toys.
-Trained to be groomed; blow-dried and nails trimmed without fuss.
-Equipped with an Avid Microchip implant.
-Prepared with all proper shots and more than adequately de-wormed.

As a final bonus, each dog is trained within a home and taken on road trips so they arrive already acclimated to a variety of surroundings, people and other dogs.

The finest dogs make the finest companions and this does not happen by accident. The folks at Golden Meadows Kennel pile their years of experience toward the intentional training of golden retriever and vizsla puppies and take great pride in planting the seed that will grow to be a well-adjusted individual. With an undeniable resume of accolades and countless celebrity endorsements, there is no finer kennel when it comes to retrieving a top quality canine companion.

If you are suffering from hearing loss, a hearing aid could actually improve your quality of life. The National Council on Aging (NCOA) conducted a study on the effects of untreated hearing loss, and found that using a hearing aid may improve a group your social, physical and emotional well-being.

The NCOA surveyed 2,069 hearing-impaired individuals and 1,710 of their family members. The study found that on average, users of hearing instruments are more socially active and are less likely to experience periods of depression, paranoia and insecurities compared to non-users.

According to the study, interpersonal warmth in relationships declines as hearing loss gets worse. The survey found that hearing aid users have greater interpersonal warmth in their relationships than non-users. The study also shows there is significant reduction in negativity in family relationships with hearing aid users.

Hearing aid users also found they were discriminated against less because of their hearing problem. According to the study, it is much easier for them to participate in social conversation. They don’t constantly have to ask people to repeat themselves; therefore, conversations are less frustrating.

The study showed users were less likely to exhibit negative emotions or traits. For example, hearing aid users were found to be less irritable, tense, insecure and temperamental. All of the hearing aid user groups displayed significantly lower depression symptoms, insomnia and thoughts of death.

This study concluded using a hearing aid can help improve one’s quality of life in many different ways. Hearing aid users who suffer from mild hearing loss and severe hearing loss identified all the areas where they felt the most improvement in their quality of life. According to the study the top three were relationships at home, feelings about self and life overall.
