Finding higher paying ads
If you are wondering why your average click is only making you a couple cents, then its time to take a look at the kind of ads on your website. Sure you may be lucky enough to be the guy that took a picture of Britney Spears…well you know by now…but most people are not that lucky and need to find a better, longer term method for making money with ads. Besides keeping up with all the headlines and sleaze is a job I don’t want!
What you need to do is some research. Use Yahoo! Search Marketing Overture website to research out what keywords are paying the most. You will find that Britney Spears ads right now are paying about 10 cents at the most. Compare that to something like Search Engine Optimization that is paying close to 5 bucks per certain words, or stock market related words that are paying up towards 7 dollars a click!
I know not everybody can blog or create content on those above two topics, but that is why I say research, and find words that pay more that you do know something about! Then start creating content and pages around that and include your ads in highly clicked through areas on your website. Where is that? Up at the top left of this website take about a 4 inch by 4 inch square and that is the most red or “hot” area in terms of getting clicked on!
If you already have a site that is getting good traffic, then researching out the highest paying words can mean huge money for you. If your site is brand new then you will still have to learn more about blog promotion and search engine optimization to get more exposure. You can increase site views and CTR if you are constantly working on creating more amazing content that your readers will come back to. If you need help with writing better content, there are places out there that have Content Writers for hire. You can also find other Freelance Programmers and PHP Developers that can help create programs that can generate content much faster with user generated content type programs.

The very first blog posting on this talks about that. I actually think its very funny as well! This is a blog teaching people (and getting ideas from others) how to make money with ad programs in general. The ebook I sell teaches how I made my money with Google Adsense (thus the name of the site). But the Yahoo Ads pay more then Google ever did so why wouldnt I use them? Thanks for the comment.
