That is about as simple as I can put it: No More
The entire American society has become extremely dangerous in the past few decades. I’m simply talking about credit danger and financial danger rather than physical danger. Americans, in general, have spent too many years living beyond their salary. Americans have spent too long living the life that they couldn’t afford.
This dangerous lifestyle has ruined relationships, marriages, families and more. The stress of having too much debt and too many creditors quickly began taking a toll on families and marriage. Many people threw in the towel. The number of divorces increased as a result of having too much debt. Credit danger and financial danger is all too common among American families.
An interesting info-graphic over at a VA Loan website (that shows the shattered housing market) gives us a little insight if we are to pick up the pieces of a shattered housing market, we need to completely change our way of thinking. Rather than thinking, “I’ll buy this now and pay for it later,” we need to simply think, “I can buy this when I have the cash for it.” This solution may sound simple. But, after decades of opposite thinking, it will be a hard change. But, the change needs to start with us.
We have the opportunity to save families. We have the opportunity to save credit. We have the opportunity to save our children. We can do this by teaching our children correct principles. Our children must see us spending our money wisely. Our children must see us saving money. Our children must witness us living within our means, spending less than we make.
This simple, yet demanding solution is sure to not only save the housing market, but also strengthen the US economy. Our economy will grow and stabilize rather than shrivel and waver. It will be cushioned by our knowledge of correct financial principles. We will be able to pull our economy from the brink of depression.
Now is the time to change the way we think financially. Now is the time to change the way we live financially. Now is the time to save our struggling economy and housing market.
