Premier Insight Credit Card Review

Premier Insight

Let’s face it…I filled out the application for the Premier Insight credit card simply because I liked the picture on the card. The picture shows a forest of trees surrounded by fog. The card looks professional and mysterious at the same time. However, my reason for signing up for the card really isn’t a reason at all.

Luckily, I haven’t been completely disappointed with the Premier Insight card.

It turns out that the Premier Insight credit card was designed for people with less than perfect credit. Although I have really good credit, I don’t mind sharing a credit card name with all of those people who only wish they had good credit.

I don’t pay an annual fee because my credit is so good but I have heard that people with bad credit do pay an annual fee for this card. The average annual fee is only about $10, so it is a small price to pay for a quality credit card.

My interest rate is set at 9.9%. Again, I have heard that other people with “not-so-great” credit pay a slightly higher interest rate. The average rate that they pay is about 11.5%. That still is a very low interest rate for people with bad credit. Typically people with bad credit pay upwards of 20% APR on their credit cards.

I personally love the fact that my account status is reported to four (not just three) credit bureaus each month. Many credit card companies try and get you to sign up for their credit card by offering to report to the 3 major credit bureaus. Well, that is fine but monthly reporting to the four major credit bureaus is much better. This allows you to either maintain your good credit or paves the way for you to rebuild your credit quickly.

I must admit that I am probably not in the “norm”, as far as my credit goes, for having the Premier Insight. The Premier Insight is designed for people who want good credit, but aren’t quite there yet. However, I have been pleasantly surprised with the features of this card. Everyone (good credit or bad credit) could use some good quality customer service and monthly reporting to the credit agencies. Whether you already have good credit or not, the Premier Insight credit card is a safe and quality choice.
