Money With Google

Web Site Analytics

Posted in Web Site Analytics by matsiltala on the May 3rd, 2007

Since this is a blog about making money with ad paying programs such as Google Adsense, Bidvertiser, or Yahoo Publisher Network Ads I wanted to talk a little about what tools I use, and what helps me make more money with ad paying programs.

I am amazed that it is 2007 and sometimes when I talk with people they still have no clue what web site analytics are. Most people do understand what tracking statistics are, but when it comes to deep web analytics they really have no clue what it is, or how it can really help them.

Everyone involved in Internet business understands things like conversion rates, cost per click, leads etc. What would it be worth to you to better understand the way that people are visiting your site, and the paths they take when they are on your site, so you could better convert them and make more money? Its a given that anyone would say “YES” to making more money right? Well then, why are more companies not using amazing tools like web analytics to help them with the total tracking of everything that is done of their web site?

If you could better keep track of your search engine marketing - ie, PPC Fraud, behavioral targeting, entry pages, exit pages, site overlays, paths, visitors by time and day, etc then I don’t understand why you would not? Understanding Analytics and what they will do for you is one of the things that successful affiliate marketers do, that separates them from those that are only making a buck a day from people clicking on ads.
